Her role in the game was to: put herself in danger, scream, and narrate as people get killed, and occasionally feed blood to the guys who need it and then magically the guys would fall for her. Seriously, how can you not love them when they are uber smexy because of Kazuki Yone’s art? The protagonist, on the other hand, can be pretty much ignored. but the good looking guys make up for it. But the key point is, the story is DEPRESSING. It is also a mix of Japanese myths (the oni) and the European folklore (the vampires). The game follows closely with the actual historical Shinsengumi era, all the way to the European invasion and their eventual defeat. Chizuru follows the Shinsengumi in their battles to help the shogunate. The Shinsengumi take her into custody and, once learning she is the daughter of the doctor they are searching for, decide to keep her close at hand.
While there, she witnesses a fight between Rasetsu and members of the Shinsengumi.
